Hi. My husband has a judgement against him and a docket of judgment was received today. Can our bank account and his wages be garnished without notice?  I will have checks bounce and do not want to be notified after the fact. I am wondering if I should go now and take him off our joint account so that I do not wind up paying

Yes.

After a creditor gets a judgment against a debtor, bank accounts and wages can be garnished.

Although you will get notice, the bank account funds will be frozen before you receive the notice, so checks you have written may bounce. The funds will not be sent to the creditor until after you receive the notice and have time to raise legal objections.
