Can you quit a job and get unemployment benefits if you found out the non-profit organization is embezzling money due to a gambling addiction?

    However, if you get fired for reporting illegal actions, you would be entitled to unemployment benefits as well as possibly have a claim for wrongful termination under whistleblower laws.

    Minnesota’s Whistleblower protection law can be found in Minnesota Statutes section 181.932.

    Thanks Aaron. Are you hiring? LOL! I appreciate your comments, but I do think new laws should be put into place for situations such as this. I did help put a different law through congress, it took two years of my life working at it full-time for no pay, but at least I helped other people. Maybe I can do something about people in these types of situations as well. It is not fair to the hard workers that have ethics.
