Quick question. We are filling out a tax form, IRS Form W9, because a company needs to provide a 1099 form to us. We’re an LLC. Form W-9 requires us to state whether the LLC is taxed as a C Corp, S Corp, etc.

Any suggestions for us on which is the correct response?

My lease states that I can break the lease with or without a 60 day notice and pay a fee of $850. The property manager is trying to make me responsible for 2 months of rent. Can they do that if it’s not stated in my lease?

The lease says tenant and management agree that if tenant pays break lease fee that management will lose any future money/income for that property.

Minneapolis PB2-17 bans intoxicating liquor on park property. State law allows for open container on boats. I’ve heard of Minneapolis Park Police attempting to enforce their ordinance on boaters. Do Minneapolis Park Police have the authority to enforce park ordinances on the lakes within Minneapolis?

I own a Minnesota nonprofit corporation that rescues dogs, pays for them to get the medical treatment they need, and then adopts those dogs to people. People pay a fee when they buy/adopt a dog, which covers the costs of the medical bills for the dogs. Do we have to collect and pay sales tax on the adoption fee?
