About MinnesotaLawyer.com
Mission
MinnesotaLawyer.com is a free public law library for the people of Minnesota. Our goal is to help Minnesotans understand their legal rights, find the information they need, and figure out their next step.
Too many people face legal problems without knowing where to start. Court procedures are confusing. Statutes are hard to read. Deadlines are easy to miss. This site exists to change that.
Why This Exists
Minnesota has excellent legal resources, but they are scattered across dozens of websites, written in legal jargon, and organized by bureaucratic category rather than by what people actually need. A person facing eviction should not have to visit five different websites to understand their rights, find the right court form, learn the filing deadline, and locate free legal help.
This site was built by a practicing Minnesota lawyer as a public interest project. It brings all of those resources together in one place, written in plain language, and connected so that every statute links to a guide, every guide links to the forms you need, and every page points you to free legal help if you need it.
There is no business model. No advertising. No client intake. Just the law, made accessible.

Important: This Is Not Legal Advice
This site provides legal information, not legal advice. There is a difference:
- Legal information tells you what the law says.
- Legal advice tells you what to do in your specific situation.
Only a licensed attorney who knows the facts of your case can give you legal advice. If you have a legal problem, we encourage you to consult an attorney. If you cannot afford one, visit our Legal Aid directory.
