§ 115B.431 — Closed Landfill Solar Redevelopment and Reuse Account

115B.431 CLOSED LANDFILL SOLAR REDEVELOPMENT AND REUSE ACCOUNT.
§
Subdivision 1.Establishment.
The closed landfill solar redevelopment and reuse account is established as an account in the remediation fund. §
Subd. 2.Revenues.
The account consists of money from:
(1) revenue from lease payments received from a utility or other entity that is leasing a portion of a closed landfill site managed by the Pollution Control Agency to install a solar energy generating system;
(2) appropriations and transfers to the account as provided by law; and
(3) interest earned on the account. §
Subd. 3.Expenditures.
Money in the account, including any interest accrued, must be used to facilitate reuse and redevelopment for solar projects located at closed landfill sites managed by the Pollution Control Agency under sections 115B.39 to 115B.445.
