2025 Session Last amended: 2025 session

§ 116L.05 — Funding

Plain-Language Summary

This section explains how the Job Skills Partnership Board gets its money. The board can use federal job training funds, accept gifts and grants from any source, and use up to six percent of its funds for research and information sharing. The board can also redirect workforce development funds to other training programs after meeting certain conditions.

Practical Notes
The board must check economic indicators and report to legislative committees before moving workforce development money to other programs. After March 1 of any fiscal year, the board may shift funds if it determines there will be enough money left for dislocated workers.
