§ 123A.61 — Private Schools in Nonoperating Districts

123A.61 PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN NONOPERATING DISTRICTS.
Section 123A.60 shall not apply to any district in which is located any existing private school maintaining elementary and secondary education for 75 percent of eligible pupils within the district and complying with the requirements of section 120A.22.

Practical Notes
School board members are elected by voters in the district. Members serve set terms, and vacancies between elections are filled by appointment until the next regular election.
