§ 13.41 — Licensing Data

Plain-Language Summary

This section classifies licensing data -- information collected when people apply for government-issued licenses and permits. Application data is generally private until a license is granted, at which point certain data (name, address, license type) becomes public.

Practical Notes
If you apply for a government license or permit, your application is generally private while it is pending. Once the license is granted or denied, basic information (your name, the type of license, and whether it was granted) becomes public. Complaints about licensees and investigation data follow separate rules.
