§ 145B.07 — Transfer of Care

Plain-Language Summary

This section explains how to cancel or change a living will. You can revoke your living will at any time, regardless of your physical or mental condition. You can do this by destroying it, writing a new statement, or telling someone you want to cancel it.

Practical Notes
You are always free to change your mind about your living will. You can cancel it by tearing it up, crossing it out, writing a note saying you revoke it, or simply telling your doctor or another person. The revocation takes effect when your health care provider is told about it.
