§ 148.516 — Licensure by Equivalency

Speech-language pathologists and audiologists who meet equivalent qualifications may apply for licensure by equivalency.
148.516 LICENSURE BY EQUIVALENCY.
An applicant who applies for licensure by equivalency must show evidence of possessing a current certificate of clinical competence issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or board certification by the American Board of Audiology and must meet the requirements of section 148.514.

Practical Notes
If you have speech therapy or audiology training that differs slightly from standard requirements, you may still qualify for a license.
