§ 151.375 — Investigational Drug Use

Plain-Language Summary

This section allows patients with serious or terminal illnesses to access investigational drugs that have not yet been fully approved by the FDA. It sets conditions under which doctors can prescribe these experimental treatments.

Practical Notes
If you have a serious illness and standard treatments are not working, this law may allow you to try experimental drugs that are still being studied. Your doctor must determine that the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
