§ 168.11 — Registration Certificate

Plain-Language Summary

When you register your vehicle and pay the tax, the registrar issues a registration certificate with your name, address, date of birth, and vehicle details. You must sign it and keep it until it expires. For certain vehicles, you must carry the registration card and show it to police on request.

Practical Notes
Keep your vehicle registration certificate with you — police can ask to see it, and you must be able to show it.
