2025 Session Last amended: 1943 session

§ 179.13 — Unlawful Interferences

Plain-Language Summary

This section makes it illegal for anyone to block public roads, streets, highways, or transportation, or to wrongfully block access to a place of business or employment. Doing any of these things is also an unfair labor practice for employees and labor organizations.

Practical Notes
This section applies to everyone, not just workers or union members. Even during a lawful strike, picketers cannot block roads or prevent people from entering or leaving a workplace. Violations can be the basis for an injunction under section 179.14.
