§ 182.6575 — Waiver Prohibited

Plain-Language Summary

Employers cannot ask or force workers to give up any rights they have under Minnesota's workplace safety law. Any such waiver is prohibited.

Practical Notes
Your workplace safety rights cannot be taken away by an employer, even through a contract or agreement. If your employer asks you to sign something waiving your OSHA rights, that waiver is not enforceable.
