§ 182.6575 — Waiver Prohibited

182.6575 WAIVER PROHIBITED.
No employer may request or require any employee to waive any rights under this chapter or under occupational safety and health standards adopted pursuant to this chapter.

Practical Notes
Your workplace safety rights cannot be taken away by an employer, even through a contract or agreement. If your employer asks you to sign something waiving your OSHA rights, that waiver is not enforceable.
