2025 Session Last amended: 2014 session

§ 201.221 — Rules

Plain-Language Summary

This section gives the Secretary of State authority to adopt rules for voter registration and requires uniform forms and procedures across counties. It also sets requirements for polling place rosters, including what information they must contain.

Practical Notes
The Secretary of State creates standard voter registration forms and procedures used statewide. Polling place rosters must include voter name, address, date of birth, school district, and a signature space. County auditors may delegate some duties but must still accept registrations themselves.
