§ 214.11 — Additional Remedy

Plain-Language Summary

In addition to other legal remedies, a licensing board can go to district court to get an injunction to stop someone from practicing without a license or violating rules the board enforces. A temporary restraining order can be issued if the person's continued activity would create an immediate risk of harm to others.

Practical Notes
Licensing boards can take quick legal action through the courts to stop unlicensed practice or rule violations. An injunction does not protect you from criminal charges or separate board disciplinary action. This gives boards an important enforcement tool beyond their own administrative proceedings.
