§ 214.36 — Board Participation

Health licensing boards that want to join or leave the health professionals services program must provide a written resolution to the designated board by January 1 before the start of a new two-year budget period. Boards that were original participants could start the program right away.
214.36 BOARD PARTICIPATION.
Participating boards may, by mutual agreement, implement the program upon enactment. Thereafter, health-related licensing boards desiring to enter into or discontinue an agreement to participate in the health professionals services program shall provide a written resolution indicating the board’s intent to the designated board by January 1 preceding the start of a biennium.

Practical Notes
The health professionals services program is a voluntary collaboration among health boards. Boards can join or leave, but must give advance notice before the start of a new biennium. This allows for orderly program planning and budgeting.
