§ 241.065 — Conditional Release Data System

Plain-Language Summary

The Department of Corrections runs a computer system that tracks people on probation, conditional release, and supervised release. The data in this system is private but can be seen by criminal justice agencies, courts, public defenders, and the Sex Offender Program. Only criminal justice agencies can put data into the system.

Practical Notes
Data in this system cannot be released even with the consent of the person it is about. Case planning data has extra privacy protections and is only available to corrections staff for monitoring release conditions. The system helps law enforcement and courts track whether offenders are following their release conditions.
