§ 245A.13 — Involuntary Receivership for Residential or Nonresidential Programs

Plain-Language Summary

The commissioner can ask a court to appoint a receiver to take over a licensed program without the owner's consent if there is an immediate threat to the health or safety of the people being served.

Practical Notes
If a care facility is so poorly run that people are in danger, the state can go to court to have someone else take over the program immediately.
