§ 270B.085 — Disclosures in Collection Actions

Plain-Language Summary

Some limited tax information can be shared with the public. This includes the names and addresses of businesses with unpaid tax debts and information about tax-exempt organizations. Most individual taxpayer information stays private.

Practical Notes
The state publishes lists of businesses and individuals who owe significant unpaid taxes. If you owe a large tax debt and do not resolve it, your name could appear on a public list of delinquent taxpayers.
