2025 Session Last amended: 2010 session

§ 37.21 — Sale of Liquors

Plain-Language Summary

Selling or possessing alcohol on the State Fairgrounds is generally prohibited and is a misdemeanor. However, the Society can issue licenses for beer sales during the fair (with Minnesota brewed options required), wine sales by concessionaires, and alcohol at special events outside of fair time.

Practical Notes
You cannot bring your own alcohol to the State Fair. Beer and wine are available for purchase at licensed locations during the fair, and at least one Minnesota-brewed beer must be offered at each beer stand.
