§ 490.1222 — Application of Service Credit Limit

Practical Notes
The removal of the service credit limit for tier II judges means they can continue building retirement benefits for as long as they serve. Tier I judges, by contrast, stop accruing new service credits once they reach the statutory limit, though their salary during the excess period still counts toward their final average compensation.
