§ 518C.608 — Confirmed Order

Plain-Language Summary

Once a registered support order is confirmed in Minnesota, whether automatically or after a hearing, the person owing support cannot challenge it again on any issue that could have been raised during the registration process.

Practical Notes
Confirmation is final. This means you cannot later try to relitigate issues that you had the opportunity to raise when the order was first registered. It is important to raise all defenses during the initial contest period.
