§ 518D.317 — Costs and Expenses

If a prosecutor or law enforcement helps enforce a custody order, the costs and fees for those services can be charged to the parties as ordered by the court.
518D.317 COSTS AND EXPENSES.
If the respondent is not the prevailing party, the court may assess against the respondent all direct expenses and costs incurred by the prosecutor and law enforcement officers under section 518D.315 or 518D.316.

Government costs for locating a child or enforcing a custody order may be passed on to the parties involved in the case.
