§ 524.2-601 — Scope

Plain-Language Summary

The rules in this part help interpret wills when the language is unclear. They apply unless the will itself says otherwise.

Practical Notes
If a will is ambiguous or does not cover every situation, courts use these rules to figure out what the person probably intended. The will’s own language always takes priority over these default rules.
