This section defines key terms used in the Safe at Home program. It explains what address, applicant, domestic violence, eligible person, mail, program participant, and harassment or stalking mean under this chapter. Registered sex offenders cannot participate in the program.

Practical Notes
To be eligible, you must be a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking, or fear for your safety. You must live in Minnesota or plan to move there within 60 days. People required to register as predatory offenders are not eligible for the program.
