§ 626.17 — Return and Inventory

This section allows a judge to hold a hearing to determine who is the rightful owner of property seized under a search warrant. The court can then order the property returned to its owner.
626.17 RETURN AND INVENTORY.
The officer must immediately return the warrant to the court and deliver to it a written inventory of the property or things taken, verified by the certificate of the officer at the foot of the inventory.
