§ 62N.02 — Definitions

Plain-Language Summary

This section defines key terms used in the Community Integrated Service Network Act. A community integrated service network is a licensed health organization serving 50,000 or fewer enrollees with prepaid health services. 'Price' means the actual amount paid for health coverage, not the cost of providing services.

Practical Notes
Many of the original definitions in this section have been repealed. The remaining definitions establish that community networks are capped at 50,000 enrollees and that the Commissioner of Health oversees them. Understanding the difference between ‘price’ (what you pay) and ‘cost’ (what it costs to provide care) is important for interpreting other sections.
