§ 65B.45 — Rehabilitation Treatment and Occupational Training

Plain-Language Summary

Your auto insurance company must pay for reasonable rehabilitation treatment and job training after an accident if it is likely to help with your medical or work recovery. You must notify the insurer within 60 days after rehab costs exceed $1,000.

Practical Notes
If the insurance company refuses to pay for proposed rehab or training, you can ask the court to decide. If you unreasonably refuse treatment the insurer recommends, your future benefits may be reduced.
