For purposes of this chapter, the November 1999 revised edition of the National Rifle Association’s Range Source Book: A Guide to Planning and Construction shall serve as best practices for shooting range performance standards.

Practical Notes
Shooting range operators should get a copy of the NRA’s 1999 Range Source Book. Meeting these standards is important because ranges that comply get legal protections against nuisance lawsuits and forced closures.
