§ 1.13 — Money Received Credited to Highway Fund

Any money the state receives from granting a flowage easement on highway land to the federal government must be deposited into the trunk highway fund.
1.13 MONEY RECEIVED CREDITED TO HIGHWAY FUND.
Any payment so received for the granting of an easement shall be deposited in the trunk highway fund.

Practical Notes
This ensures that compensation for highway easements goes back to the highway system rather than to the state’s general fund. The trunk highway fund is used to build and maintain Minnesota’s state highway system.
