§ 103D.331 — Advisory Committee

Every watershed district must have an advisory committee with at least five members. The committee should include people from soil and water conservation districts, counties, sporting groups, farm groups, and Tribal governments within the district. The committee reviews projects, gives advice to the managers, and meets at least once a year.

Practical Notes
Advisory committee members are appointed annually by the managers and serve at their pleasure. Members must generally be district residents, except representatives from Tribal nations, soil and water conservation districts, and counties. Members can be reimbursed for travel and other expenses at state employee rates.
