§ 103D.735 — Hearing on Petition and Reports

103D.735 HEARING ON PETITION AND REPORTS.
(a) The managers shall order a final hearing by 35 days after:
(1) the engineer’s report is filed;
(2) the appraisers’ report is filed; and
(3) the director’s advisory report and the board’s advisory report are filed or the time for that filing has expired.
(b) The order for a final hearing must set a time and place within the watershed district for a hearing upon the petition or resolution and reports.

Practical Notes
The 35-day clock does not start until all three reports are filed (or the time for advisory reports has expired). The final hearing is the last step before the managers decide whether to approve the project.
