§ 103I.221 — Plastic Casings

Subdivision 1.Plastic casings allowed.
The use of plastic casings in wells is expressly authorized. §
Subd. 2.Rules.
The commissioner may adopt rules relating to the installation of plastic well casing.

Practical Notes
If you are building a well, plastic casings are allowed as long as they meet the commissioner’s standards. This provides a lower-cost alternative to metal casings for many well applications.
