§ 144.1485 — Database on Health Personnel

Plain-Language Summary

This section requires the commissioner of health to develop and maintain a database on health services personnel, using it to help local communities and state government plan for the recruitment and retention of health personnel. The database includes data such as levels of educational preparation, specialty, and place of employment, which the commissioner may collect through the state health licensing boards. A health professional may request in writing that their practice or place of employment address be kept private for safety reasons, provided they give a valid address where they will accept service of process, in which case the commissioner uses the mailing address in all public documents.

Practical Notes
Useful for understanding where health care worker shortages exist in rural Minnesota.
