§ 148G.06 — Failure or Refusal to Provide Information

Plain-Language Summary

This section requires certified midwives to notify the Minnesota Board of Nursing when they renew their national certification. Failure to provide this notification prohibits the midwife from practicing. Applicants who refuse to supply information needed to determine their qualifications may be denied a license.

Practical Notes
Certified midwives must actively notify the Board of Nursing each time they renew their national certification — automatic updates are not assumed. If you renew your certification and fail to notify the board, you may be prohibited from practicing until you do so. Keep documentation of all certification renewals and board notifications.
