Practical Notes
Vehicle buyers should expect to receive their title by mail once processing is complete. If a loan is involved, the lender gets notice of their security interest being recorded, but the physical title typically goes to the owner unless the lender requests otherwise. If a title is not received within a reasonable time, the owner should follow up with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
