192.01 Minnesota National Guard The Minnesota National Guard is made up of enlisted members and officers organized under federal law. 192.02 Inactive National Guard The inactive National Guard is organized under rules set by federal law. 192.03 Organization The National Guard must be organized as required by federal law for Minnesota. 192.04 Location of Units The governor decides where Guard units are located, based on the adjutant general's recommendation. 192.05 Status of Individuals and Units of National Guard in National Emergency and Afterwards When Guard members are called to federal active duty, they are relieved from state Guard duty. 192.056 Protection of Reservist-owned Business During Active Service Protects businesses owned by National Guard or reserve members called to active duty for 60+ days. 192.06 Officers and Enlisted Persons of State Staff and Detachment; Number and Grades Sets the number and ranks of officers and enlisted persons on the state military staff. 192.07 This section has been repealed. 192.08 Qualifications of Officers National Guard officers must meet qualifications set by federal law and take the oath of office. 192.09 This section has been repealed. 192.10 This section has been repealed. 192.105 Officers; Selection, Assignment, Promotion The governor commissions National Guard officers on the adjutant general's recommendation. 192.11 Officers Have Powers and Duties of United States Officers Minnesota Guard officers have the same powers as officers of the same rank in the U.S. armed forces. 192.12 This section has been repealed. 192.13 Supplies, How Issued; Bond Military supplies are issued to Guard units by requisition.
