§ 268B.05 — Notification of Changed Circumstances

Plain-Language Summary

This section requires applicants to promptly tell the department about any changes in their situation that could affect whether they are still eligible for paid leave benefits.

Practical Notes
If something changes while you are receiving benefits, such as returning to work, getting workers’ compensation, or the end of a qualifying condition, you must notify the department right away. Failing to report changes could result in an overpayment that you would have to pay back.
