§ 326.336 — Employees of License Holders

Plain-Language Summary

Requires background checks and identification cards for employees of licensed private detectives and protective agents.

Practical Notes
When hiring, the employer must submit a full set of the employee’s fingerprints and written consent to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The person is a conditional employee who may be trained but may not serve as a private detective or protective agent until the bureau reports no disqualifying conviction. Each employee must carry an identification card, and someone who fails to return equipment within ten days of termination or a written demand commits a misdemeanor.
