§ 5B.04 — Certification Cancellation

Plain-Language Summary

This section lists the reasons the secretary of state can cancel a participant's Safe at Home certification. Reasons include a legal name change, failure to update contact information, mail returned as undeliverable, no longer being eligible, using false information on the application, or not moving to Minnesota within 60 days.

Practical Notes
Participants must keep their information current to stay in the program. If you move and do not tell the secretary of state, your certification can be canceled. Using false information on your application will result in mandatory cancellation.
