§ 624.701 — Alcohol in Certain Buildings or Grounds

It is a misdemeanor to introduce or possess an alcoholic beverage on the grounds or in the buildings of a public elementary or secondary school, except for laboratory experiments and for holders of (or purchasers from holders of) a temporary license to sell 3.2 percent malt liquor or intoxicating liquor. It is also a misdemeanor to introduce or possess an alcoholic beverage on the grounds of a state hospital, except by a licensed physician's prescription or with the hospital administrator's permission.

Practical Notes
Do not bring alcohol to schools or state hospitals. Exceptions exist for licensed events and lab use.
