2025 Session Last amended: 1998 session

§ 123A.49 — Appeals

Plain-Language Summary

This section allows the Commissioner of Education to adjust school district boundaries to resolve issues created by natural or man-made barriers that make it impractical for students to attend their assigned school.

Practical Notes
The Commissioner can adjust district boundaries when physical barriers like rivers or highways make it hard for students to get to their assigned school. This ensures students can attend a school they can reasonably reach.
