§ 142G.76 — Mfip Consolidated Fund

Plain-Language Summary

The MFIP consolidated fund provides money to counties and tribes for services that help MFIP participants succeed. Allowable uses include emergency shelter and utility help, transportation, job training, work-related expenses, child care, and case management.

Practical Notes
The consolidated fund supports a wide range of services beyond regular MFIP cash benefits. Counties and tribes submit biennial service agreements describing how they will use the funds. Any payments from this fund to support a caregiver do not count as income when determining the family’s MFIP eligibility.
