§ 244.052 — Predatory Offenders; Notice

Plain-Language Summary

When a person required to register as a predatory offender is about to be released from prison, a committee reviews the person's risk level. Based on the risk assessment, law enforcement and sometimes the community are notified about the person's release and where they plan to live.

Practical Notes
Risk levels (Level 1, 2, or 3) determine how widely the community is notified. Level 3 offenders receive the broadest public notification.
