§ 245F.08 — Stabilization Services

Plain-Language Summary

This section describes the stabilization services that licensed withdrawal management programs must offer. Services must be patient-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate, and must include translation services and dietary accommodations when needed. All services provided must be documented in the patient's medical record.

Practical Notes
Patients have the right to services that respect their cultural background and language needs. If you need a translator or have dietary restrictions, the program is required to accommodate those needs. Programs should encourage patients to continue care after discharge and refer them to appropriate recovery programs.
