2025 Session Last amended: 2019 session

§ 28A.16 — Persons Selling Liquor

Plain-Language Summary

Exempts persons licensed to sell liquor on-sale from the food licensing requirements for food served incidental to their liquor business.

Practical Notes
Bars and restaurants with liquor licenses do not need a separate food handler license for food served as part of their liquor service. This avoids dual licensing for establishments primarily serving alcohol.
