§ 336.2-502 — Buyer's Right to Goods on Seller's Repudiation, Failure to Deliver, or Insolvency

Plain-Language Summary

A buyer who has paid part or all of the price can recover identified goods from the seller if the seller becomes insolvent within 10 days of receiving the first payment, as long as the goods were identified to the contract.

Practical Notes
If you prepaid for goods and the seller goes bankrupt within 10 days of your payment, you may be able to get the actual goods rather than just a money claim.
