§ 48.48 — Reports to Commissioner

Plain-Language Summary

Every bank or trust company must file a detailed financial report with the commissioner at least four times a year, plus any other time the commissioner requests one, within 30 days of the notice. The report covers the bank's assets and liabilities as of a specified date, and the portion showing assets, liabilities, capital, income, and expenses must be made available to the public within 45 days at every location. A bank that files late forfeits $25 to the state for each day of delay, though the commissioner may waive the penalty if the report was timely sent or the delay was beyond the bank's control.

Practical Notes
Banks must report their financial condition on a regular schedule.
