§ 524.2-1002 — International Will; Validity

Plain-Language Summary

A will that meets the requirements for an 'international will' is valid as to form in Minnesota, regardless of where it was made, where the assets are, or the nationality of the person who made it.

Practical Notes
If a will follows the international will format, it is valid in Minnesota regardless of where the person lived or where the will was signed. This is helpful for people with property in multiple countries.
